In the role as cyber security detection engineer, you will become a crucial part of Norlys’ IT Shared Service Center, where they manage and maintain all internal servers, storage, and backup systems, as well as cyber security related to the operations.
You will join the Security Operation Center (SOC) team that currently comprise a handful of international and dedicated colleagues, each specialized in their own fields that cover a range of subcategories, including Detection, where this role is based.
Together, the team safeguards Danish critical infrastructure and the Norlys business through stable operations and continuous optimization.
You will be responsible for SIEM, log collection, detection and enrolment, and take part in analysis and assessment when advising the varying departments and stakeholders on cybersecurity.
The team is growing and the Norlys businesses are changing, so you can expect a workday with variation and influence.
You will report to the Head of SOC in this role.
Your responsibilities:
• Implement and manage SIEM solutions to enhance security monitoring and incident response
• Partake in security process definitions and improvements
• Oversee log collection, analysis, and integration to ensure comprehensive security visibility, verification and quality
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand requirements and give advice
• Ensure that Norlys' applications and infrastructure are secure and well-integrated
• Contribute to the continuous optimization and development of security systems and protocols
are you Norlys' next cyber security detection engineer?
We are looking for someone with an interest in cybersecurity, system landscapes and processes, who can dive into details as well as see the bigger picture. We imagine that you have some years’ experience in SIEM and log enrolment.
Preferred qualifications
• Strong understanding of system landscapes and processes
• Intermediate or higher Linux skills to manage critical infrastructure components
• Experience in implementing and managing SIEM solutions
• Proficiency in log collection and analysis
• Ability to see the bigger picture and make strategic security improvements
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Knowledge of compliance, NIS2, CER directives are required
