Our client’s team of passionate and highly skilled people in the cities of Søborg and Aarhus is growing, and they are therefore looking for a Database Specialist, who will be working with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL operation.
Your responsibilities as a Database Specialist
...You will be part of a Global Database Operations Service Team in Søborg or Aarhus. The team is global, and you will therefore have a daily interaction with colleagues located in Denmark, the Czech Republic, and the Philippines. The client team is a full-stack database operations team which is responsible for the operations of a variety of database installations, primarily Oracle, MsSQL (SQL Server), MySQL, PostgreSQL and DB2.
You will work with highly skilled colleagues in Århus and Søborg as well as globally. Besides database technologies, you will also have colleagues around the world who are specialized within Unix/Linux/AIX/Solaris, Storage, Backup, Windows, VMware and Network. This provides for a huge opportunity to work with professionals where you may broaden your technical knowledge, exchange ideas, collaborate and develop your technical skills. The client team are dedicated to delivering a stable and continuous operations service across any database platform by the client.
You will participate in database operations on-call duties. The client team work as one team, practice and appreciate a can-do attitude, collaboration and knowledge sharing. They also believe that you should always be able to develop both professionally and personally whether this is by interesting and challenging work, training or certifications.
your qualifications
You have 2+ years of experience of managing Oracle Databases, MySQL, PostgreSQL or MsSQL. Furthermore, you have experience or knowledge about:
- Database Operations in Windows and Linux/Unix environments
- Theoretical knowledge of Database Engines and Structure
- Automation and scripting; able to read, write and understand scripts – e.g. Bash, PowerShell and SQL variants (e.g. T-SQL, P-SQL, PL/SQL)
As a person you are:
- Solution-oriented and have a can-do attitude
- Good at communicating and interacting with people
- Structured in your daily work, self-motivated and able to show initiative
- Service-minded, quality-driven and ready to go the extra mile when necessary
- Able to work with various tasks simultaneously

- Maintaining technical documentation such as Operation Manuals, technical procedures and guidelines

The client prefers that you have 2+ years of experience of managing Oracle Databases, MySQL, PostgreSQL or MsSQL.
Furthermore, you have experience or knowledge about:
- Database Operations in Windows and Linux/Unix environments
- Theoretical knowledge of Database Engines and Structure
- Automation and scripting; able to read, write and understand scripts – e.g. Bash, PowerShell and SQL variants (e.g. T-SQL, P-SQL, PL/SQL)
