As the Deputy Director of Business Development, you report to the President of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Transport and you will be a key contributor in identifying and developing long-lasting relations with existing and potential clients in the global offshore wind industry. You will also manage the day-to-day activities to ensure delivery and follow through on tenders.
In short, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Identify and approach potential clients within the offshore wind industry
- Build and develop further business relations with existing clients
- Collect and evaluate relevant market information
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level
- Partake in the tender and offer process
- Monitor and evaluate the business performance of customers
- Work with peers and colleagues to share business leads and best practices
Some international travel within Europe – and occasionally to the US, Middle East and China – is to be expected.
about you
You have 5+ years of experience in a similar function from an international company either within a leading wind farm developer, an offshore EPC company, an offshore wind farm installer or the offshore transportation industry. It is essential that you have a strong commercial understanding and an outgoing personality. Further, we expect you to have a proven track record of stakeholder management at the senior management level, and that you handle communication and collaboration effectively.
Your educational background could be from commerce, engineering or similar at a Master's level, however your working experience is more important. You are able to communicate in English at a high level.

The location of the position is in the European regional office in Rotterdam (NL).
