about the job

McBride are currently looking for a Product Development Engineer to join their Unit Dosing division in Hammel, Denmark factory. As a PDE, you will play an important role in ensuring that McBride’s products always live up to high standards. You will be working closely with in- and external stakeholders on developing the products in demand. The role requires a high level of technical knowledge, personnel management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

key responsibilities

- Conduct benchmarking on specific markets
- Work in collaboration with the Lab Technicians/Chemist to follow up on projects
- Work with the Formulation Leader to ensure the highest level of support for internal and external stakeholders
- Contact with raw material suppliers for the tablet application and feedback the full team on findings
- Report progression of projects to the direct manager, internal and external stakeholders
- Share findings with the Product Development Hard Tablet team
- Ensure the proposed solution meet both technical, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements from McBride and third-party customers

Furthermore, you will on a daily basis manage one Chemist to ensure alignment on priorities.

Travel days: Expected 1-2 travel days per month

qualifications and experience

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated candidate with, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, 3+ years of experience in product development, knowledge of regulations and compliance, and excellent project and personnel management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency in English is essential. Furthermore, being able to communicate well in Danish is an advantage.
