As the Staff Manager, Hardware at GomSpace, you will have the opportunity to work closely with electrical hardware and system professionals, focusing on development and people management. You will have the chance to develop employee growth plans to ensure optimal performance at both the individual and team levels. Your main focus will be to enhance employee well-being by ensuring they have the best conditions to develop their competencies.
In collaboration with other managers, you will use this insight to map team competencies and assist in determining the future needs of the company, whether through internal development or recruitment. You will engage in and optimize 1-on-1 conversations with employees, working towards ensuring task clarity, defining competencies, and developing career progression plans.
You will analyze employee satisfaction data and create initiatives to improve happiness, motivation, and productivity within a hardware and system team of skilled technical individuals. Through your work, you will generate data and reports, sharing valuable insights with management.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Developing individual employee growth plans and managing career progression
• Conducting regular 1-on-1 meetings to ensure employee well-being
• Defining plans for development, onboarding, and recruitment
• Mapping team competencies
• Generating data and reports with useful information for upper management
• Creating initiatives to optimize motivation and well-being at both the individual and team levels
about you
You will be working with technical hardware specialists, so having a background in electrical engineering is ideal. However, if you come from a different background, possess strong management capabilities, and have experience working closely with engineering professionals, you are also an interesting candidate for the job.
As your key responsibilities are highly focused on staff-related tasks, it is important that you are skilled in personnel management. To have success in this role, you would be an experienced profile and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You are proactive and able to developing new initiatives to make improvements.
You possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support team members. Furthermore, you are skilled in working with data-driven insights to support your work.

The place of work will be the GomSpace headquarters in Aalborg. You will also be collaborating with other managers as well as colleagues based in GomSpace’s office in Luxembourg.
