Do you have strong international accounting skills and do you want to be a part of building the new in-house accounting functions with the dynamic and international organization Mariager Salt Specialties A/S? Then you might be the right person for the newly established position as Accountant Receivable at either the Danish site located in Mariager or the Swedish site located in Gothenburg.

your new day-to-day

Together with talented colleagues, you will participate in the task of building the accounting functions in-house at Mariager Salt Specialties A/S, where your main focus will be on receivables.
To succeed in this role, you will work closely together with the Nordic accounting team. Nordics consist of Mariager Salt Specialties A/S (Mariager, Denmark) and Marieholm Salt Specialties AB (Göteborg, Sweden). The role should cover both sites. This requires 1-2 days of travelling every other month to other offices primarily within DK/SWE and you will be in direct reference to the Financial Accounting Manager, who is located in Sweden. In addition to this, the team will also collaborate with the accounting team in the Netherlands and Group Finance in France as Mariager Salt Specialties A/S is a part of the Groupe Salins.

On day-to-day basis, you will be working in compliance with the accounting standards and the group's business rules on the following tasks:

- Recording of customer payments
- Processing of bank transactions, integration of bank statements
- Clearing, review and justification of customer accounts
- Processing of external re-invoicing
- Analysis of aged trial balance

You will work with your colleagues on monthly and annual closing according to the closing deadlines. Besides this, you will handle recording of provision for questionable customers in relation to the Sales department and be responsible for the process of reconciling transactions between the legal entities.

your background

Preferably you come with a strong practical experience, which makes it easy for you to familiarize yourself with new processes and ways of working. You may come with different educational backgrounds such as a bachelor's degree in accounting, you may be a graduate from business school or have a two-year degree in Financial Management or the equivalent.

Besides that, you meet the following criteria:

- Min. 3 years of working experience in a similar role
- Experience with IT accounting (preferably SAP) and Excel
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing

As a person, you are a team player, who is helpful and ready to share knowledge with the accounting team so that you can succeed together, but you also manage to work independently with your area of responsibility. Your positive mindset comes into play when you collaborate closely with both colleagues and stakeholders.
You are able to navigate in a changing environment and prioritize your tasks accordingly, always making sure to meet the deadlines.

Mariager Salt Specialities A/S in Mariager packs around 300,000 tons of salt yearly produced by Dansk Salt A/S, who is the only producer in Scandinavia of the high "vacuum salt" quality. Every day, the site in Mariager is securing supplies to global pharma clients and the Scandinavian food industry in collaboration with their French owners, Group Salins.
The site in Mariager is known to be a front-runner and very solutions-oriented when it comes to testing new concepts from both a management and technological point of view. A position that was strengthened in 2020, which is important for a small site in an international group.
