On behalf of Tetra Pak Filtration A/S we are looking for a Automation Engineer to join their team in Silkeborg.

Tetra Pak Filtration Solutions with offices in Silkeborg, Denmark and in Champlin, USA is the group competence centre for membrane filtration and water process technology. Altogether, they are 125 dedicated employees, 90 of those are working directely from the silkeborg office. You can read more about it at: www.tetrapakfiltration.com.

As an automation engineer, your daily tasks will be of technical nature but also coordination in your area of expertise. You will be one of the go-to specialists in the team and with your specialist knowledge, you will help with developing high-tech automation solutions, support your colleagues worldwide with troubleshooting and commissioning the equipment.

Role & Responsibility


As an automation engineer you will furthermore:

• Participate in the development of project-specific PLC & HMI/SCADA software
• Configure, program and test application programs for PLC & HMI/SCADA software
• Lead the project from order to customer takeover in close cooperation with the team, internal stakeholders, and customers
• Clarification of project specifications with the sales team and customers, as well as coordination with other project participants
• Follow up on the budget
• Support technicians remotely during commissioning
• Support and cooperate with the organization as well as customers
• Drive technical discussions make quotations for customers
• Drive continuous improvements and operational excellence in terms of efficiency and quality

Who you are

To succeed in this role, it’s important to be a very solid technician with a-class interpersonal skills. You have strong communication skills – the ability to interact with people, be it stakeholders, colleagues or customers is essential. We also see some of the main criteria to becoming a success as:

Experience within the design and development of process equipment.
• Working experience on PLC platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal and/or Allen Bradley.
• You are used to work in a complex and project managed organization, and you thrive on the international perspective. Your daily challenges will be a mix of routine and development tasks
• A very good command of English, both written and verbal, is a must, and German is an advantage
• A well-structured person with a strong drive for results and always have an eye for continuous improvement
• You have an analytic mindset and can find common solutions
• You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships, as the work includes close contacts with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
• You offer a strong personal drive, work structured and contribute a good mood, as well as and engage positively in your surroundings
• You must be willing to travel approx. 20-30 days a year – mainly site-support, customer order clearance, as well as start-up and commissioning of filtration installations
• Work proficiency in Danish is an advantage.
