Do you want to be a part of a highly dedicated and professional team of HV electrical design engineers developing electrical solutions for our offshore turbines?

If you want to join a project from the first stage in the project to the final launch – Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy are looking for a result oriented HV engineer with experience within HV equipment design for our matured fleet of the offshore turbine platform. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy need the best design engineers to take on the task of developing the HV equipment and to develop the HV solutions for our wind turbines.

What are my responsibilities?

As Electrical Engineer for MV/HV equipment and transformer design, you will be responsible for the development, test and validation of electrical hardware solutions in this area. Your main focus will be on transformers.

Further assignments will include:
• Participation in wind turbine development and technology projects
• Test and validation of developed solutions
• Evaluation of technical solutions and components, e.g. in cooperation with suppliers
• Participation in national and international working groups
• Perform quality assessments on developed solutions, e.g. D-FMEA, DRA, etc.
• Incorporate health and safety aspects into solutions.
• Provide high quality documentation on components and systems

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have an education within electrical engineering and minimum 2 years of experience within product development of complex products with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
• You have experience in the area of power transformers
• You have knowledge of protection relay technology (from self-powered to multifunction relays)
• You have knowledge of project management and/or experience as design engineer with a good technical understanding
• An overall electrical understanding is required including knowledge and experience within HV applications. Knowledge of wind turbines is an advantage
• You are familiar with working in large matrix organizations
• You are a dedicated team player and you thrive in a multi-cultural environment
• You have excellent practical and people management skills, strong communication skills and can interface with numerous parties
• Furthermore, you possess fluency in spoken and written English
• You might have a wide experience/knowledge in other related HV areas – such as switch gear, cable design etc.
