Are you ready to enhance and support safety procedures in a manufacturing environment? MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is looking for an HSE Coordinator to join our HSE team located at our factory in Nakskov, Denmark.

Tasks & responsibilities:

…ensure that procedures regarding health, safety and environment are communicated and followed. You will raise safety awareness and improve the safety culture. During toolbox talks, internal and external audits and meetings, you will provide HSE support to the site and facility management. You will collect, validate and respond to HSE data and report incidents and support management in managing incidents and corrective/preventive actions. Lastly, you will ensure compliance to HSE legislation concerning annual assessments, permits, emergency drills, etc.

You will also be responsible for:

• Review, and revise when required, documents in support of the HSE Management System
• Ensure that Emergency Response Plans are established and maintained
• Ensure that emergency drills are performed according to our management system
• Support line management in managing incidents, corrective/preventive actions
• Reporting of incidents
• Continually review the company Safe Systems of Work
• Support and deliver toolbox talks
• Coach personnel to raise HSE awareness and improve the HSE culture
• Conduct contractor reviews as required
• Carry out site inspections and audits

Skills & experience:

…has at least three years of experience working in an HSE role in a production, construction or maritime environment. You have experience with implementation of HSE policies, knowledge of HSE legislation, and the ability to interpret government approved codes of practices to ensure legal compliance. It is important that you thrive in a role where you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization. To improve the HSE standards at the factory, we are looking for a person who has a “can-do” attitude and can motivate and influence others in a positive manner. You can prioritise your tasks and work in a changing environment, and you understand and respect cultural differences.

• Are a flexible and motivated team player
• Speak Danish and English fluently
• Have a structured and systematic approach
• Are a role model in regards to safety
• Can familiarise yourself with complex safety issues
• Have knowledge of risk assessment practices
• Have good communication skills
• Have knowledge of COSHH and the implementation of appropriate control processes
• Have good IT skills in Microsoft Office
