Do you have experience working with HSE in a manufacturing environment? Are you an HSE expert motivated by constantly developing and improving safety standards? On behalf of MHI Vestas, we are currently looking for a HSE Specialist to join their location in Nakskov.

Main responsibilities

You will impact and make life safer for people and the business. You will develop a safe HSE culture by driving HSE initiatives and coordinating the HSE team to carry out safety, health and environmental tasks.

You will be responsible for:
• Ensure HSE-related support and consultancy to the Factory Management Team and Safety Organization
• Identify HSE-related legal requirements, annual assessment and permits
• Identify, facilitate and deliver HSE-relevant training
• Support the factory during internal and external audits
• Ensure that Factory Emergency Response Plans are established and maintained
• Ensure compliance with chemicals and backlist on MHI Vestas systems
• Secure procedures for management and approval of chemicals and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Secure procedures for waste management and handling
• Support line management in managing HSE incidents, corrective/preventive actions
• Secure procedures for identification and management of risks
• Report incidents
• Collect and validate HSE data, report, analyze and respond to data and trends

The successful candidate

You have experience with developing and implementing HSE policies in a production environment. You have good knowledge of HSE legislation, and you can interpret government approved codes of practices to ensure legal compliance. You have at least 5 years of experience of working in an HSE role in a production environment. As a person, you are a strong and active team player and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Furthermore, you have the following skills and experiences:
• Have experience in auditing at ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001
• Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
• Speak English and Danish fluently
• Have knowledge of Risk Assessment practices
• Have a planned and organized approach to your tasks
