A2i Systems is a full stack vertical AI company focusing on the development and marketing of the software product, PriceCast Fuel. The product contributes to the businesses of large organizations around the world by predicting demands and forecasting customer behavior in the fuel industry - including EVs - and it is the world’s only AI-first, industry-specific, retail fuel pricing decision and optimization system.
Currently, 20 knowledgeable and skilled employees in the Odense and Copenhagen offices collaborate to stay in the lead of the market and they are looking forward to adding more new faces to the team.
where do you come in?
As Lead Engineer, you will be an integral part of the development team that collaborates closely to continuously improve the PriceCast Fuel product. The development team comprises 11 developers with broad skill sets in e.g. machine learning, frontend, and backend development. The solution is currently being refactored to a modular/microservices architecture; a migration that you will be a central part of and thus take on a pivotal role in the improvement of the overall system architecture. You will work on the core platform, take part in the analysis phase, roadmapping and work closely with the head of engineering in order to put world-class software in the hands of end-customers.
Daily tasks and technologies:
• Advising on architecture and design choices
• Define task and help set the direction for developers in the team
• Migration and refactoring of the solution onto a modular/microservices architecture
• Introduce best practices and learning
• Daily stand-ups in an agile environment
• Performance enhancement
• Tech: Java, Spring-Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring JPA, Docker, AWS, (EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudFormation), NoSQL, IntelliJ, JIRA
You will report to the Head of Engineering in this position.
what’s expected from you?
A2i Systems is looking for a technically curious engineer who is well-versed in design patterns, architecture, and the JVM ecosystem. A good theoretical foundation is an advantage and good fit to the team, however, engineering skill and a practical approach is crucial to succeed in this role.
As a person, you will fit well into the team if you enjoy working independently in a structured manner as well as reaching the goals set with a team of like-minded individuals. The team is international and written/spoken English is necessary. If you understand and/or speak Danish, it is an advantage.
