On behalf of our client HAVI Logistics, Randstad is looking for an Operations Manager to be in charge of all operations regarding logistics in Denmark. You will become a part of an international organization playing a key role in the development of the Danish logistic setup.

The opportunity

In brief – you are going to develop the next operational phase of HAVI Denmark.
As the Operations Manager, you will steer the company’s continuous efforts to deliver their promise of market leading quality as well as drive their efforts towards new and innovative ways of working.
You will be given the opportunity to structure the approach taken and to develop the foundation for the continuous operational growth of HAVI. Your priority will be to sustain the current level of performance and build up the ability to expand and increase the level of quality.

HAVI Denmark

HAVI Denmark provides logistics end-to-end services for customers in the food industry. As part of the HAVI Group, with operations in over 100 countries, they belong to the logistics business area and is a part of Region West Europe.
Their largest customer is McDonalds. Of course, being a supplier to the world's largest restaurant chain places even higher demands. The right product must be in the right place at the right time, while quality and food safety must always be the highest possible.

The role and responsibilities

The Operations Manager is a key member of the Management Team. As responsible for all operations-related activities (Transport, Warehouse, and Customer Service (POC)), the Operations Manager ensures that all tasks are performed in line with the company’s targets, culture, policies, management systems and instructions as well as effective laws and regulations.
You will head the Operations organization, consisting of close to 100 people, distributed between their two DCs.
Reporting to you, the Transport and Warehouse Managers are each responsible for the overall areas and DC subfunctions. Also reporting to you is the Customer Service team, headed by the Customer Service Team Lead.

Overall, you will be responsible for

- Owning and executing the operational strategy, as well as providing operational insights to developing future strategic initiatives for both the Operations department and HAVI Denmark
- Connecting functional strategy and operational plans to create recognizable drivers from “top to bottom”
- Budgets and results for all Operations elements
- Ensuring a positive physical and psychosocial work environment
- Monitoring and reviewing internal control processes, routines, and policy fulfilment
- Functioning as the daily manager for DC Vejle
- Nurturing and developing existing customer and supplier relations
- Operational planning, providing decision bases for and exploring avenues of increased services for existing and potential customers

Your background:
-An education within e.g. Supply Chain or Commerce
-Documented experience and results from operational positions in an international company
-Substantial budgeting experience and business acumen
