On behalf of Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S, Randstad is looking for a committed and targeted Project Office Manager to join the Technology and Product Development department based in Hobro, Denmark. Your primary function is to manage the project execution team of Project Managers and SCRUM Managers to execute on the entire project portfolio.

Ballard Power Systems is the leading global provider of clean energy and fuel cell solutions. In Europe, Ballard’s focus is on the following key markets: Bus, Truck, Rail, Marine and Stationary Power Market. Ballard’s zero-emission fuel cell products provide solutions to some of the world’s most pressing environmental issues and opportunities.

You will report directly to the Vice President of Technology and Product Development based in Hobro and lead the teams of Project Support, Regulatory Affairs and Scrum Masters. In addition, you will be working closely with management on the company priority and strategic goals.

Your responsibilities as Project Office Manager

As the Project Office Manager, you will be allocating resources as a diplomatic stakeholder when communicating with individual business units regarding prioritization of all projects of Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S. Additional responsibilities will be to:

- Manage the teams day-to-day work in relation to effective executions of all Ballard projects
- Adhere to agreed budgets, deadlines and product specifications
- Ensure that relevant people and departments are involved in and informed about the development process
- Work with as well as integrate scrum into the organization
- Ensure internal alignment with colleagues at the corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Canada.
- Implement and adhere to the reporting structure of Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S
- Manage product-related deviations according to the Quality System

You will be required to travel approx. 10-20 days per year primarily to the corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Canada, and across locations in Europe.

Your qualifications

- MSc/BSc within the engineering field
- Experience with managing a project portfolio including resources, materials and budget
- Sufficient understanding of processes and execution of development projects
- Experience with managing a team of approx. 3-4 employees and a natural interest in leadership as well as developing the team
- Fluent in English both spoken and written

You are driven by executing on as well as finalizing projects in a structured and systematic manner. You are able to simplify complex organizational challenges and cope with a fast-growing company. Hereby, you maintain the overview in a changing environment and industry.
