Would you like to join a company known for its exceptional in-orbit performance and a proven track record of innovating new applications? Then you might be exactly who we are looking for.
...
This is a unique opportunity for you to become part of a team where not even the sky's the limit – literally speaking! Since 2007, GomSpace has designed and supplied satellites to customers across more than 60 countries worldwide. That has been possible only because of a dedication to technology innovation and because of the 150 highly skilled employees, who potentially can become your new colleagues.
about the job
As an Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for the integration of software systems and for the testing of spacecrafts developed and supplied tor clients in the international space industry, comprising commercial entities, government bodies and defense organizations. This role is key and is critical for the teams’ successful delivery of the spacecraft from a functional as well as commercial perspective.
You will become part of the Programs Business Unit that works with projects and missions for clients. The projects typically span 10-20 months. The development and delivery of missions and spacecrafts entails close collaboration between system and software engineers, hardware, mechanical and electrical engineers, manufacturing, and project managers. Currently, three other integration specialists work in the team and the teams is expected to grow further.
You will experience a continuous focus on optimization of e.g. the integration process and manuals and collaboration with other departments in GomSpace.
Responsibilities include:
• Integration of spacecraft modules from a software system perspective
• Integration testing, both automated and manual testing
• Optimize and develop integration manuals and integration processes
• Tech stack: Linux, Python, Jenkins, , C, C++, Confluence, JIRA, git
• Being the technical focal point in the preparation and the execution of the software systems integration
This position is based in Denmark. Travel activity may occur and will be limited to a maximum of 15 days per year. We welcome international applicants.
your profile
As a person, you possess a strong drive and determination to invest in the team’s success and enjoy sharing your knowledge and insights. You are committed to the tasks at hand and to the overall goals of the company. Furthermore, you are eager to learn and embrace the collaborative nature of GomSpace. You thrive in an agile and versatile environment where two days rarely are the same
To succeed in the role, you have prior experience in systems and software integration. Experience from the space industry is a plus but not a requirement. Perhaps you have worked with integration in another complex environment such as defense, telecom, security, or the like.
An interest in new space technology and technology trends in general is also important to succeed as well as to enjoy being a part of the company.
Qualifications:
• Educational background in engineering; systems, software or similar
• Experience with system and software integration from a related field
• Curious and interested in solving integration challenges, investigating, and reading source code to find integration flaws and improvements
• Eager to see subsystems coming alive and to see the completion of the assembled, fully functional satellite system
