On behalf of Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S, Randstad is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the team in Operations. As part of the Operations Team, you will join the team’s effort developing strategies, executing on plans, and meeting our business goals while managing the Supply Chain department.
Ballard Power Systems is the leading global provider of clean energy and fuel cell solutions. In Europe, Ballard’s focus is on the following key markets: Bus, Truck, Rail, Marine and Critical Communication Infrastructure.
With direct reference to the Operations Manager, The Supply Chain Manager has deep knowledge of the various disciplines within sourcing and supply chain, such as planning, logistics, warehouse and procurement (both operational and strategic).

Your key responsibilities

Your key responsibility in this role will be to manage and develop the Supply Chain. This means that you will be the manager of a team of logistics, planning, warehouse, and procurement professionals. In addition, you will lead the development of Supply Chain related parts of the ERP system (Axapta) and ensure that relevant business processes and procedures are further developed and deployed.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the overall SCM strategy in cooperation with the Operations management team. This means that you have a result-oriented mindset in ensuring that the KPI’s and targets (Safety, Quality, Delivery and cost) are achieved.
You will be involved in leading and facilitating a cross-functional approach to planning to ensure transparency within supply and demand.

Work assignments

• Support the factories on escalated supplier issues
• Further development of the planning process
• Implement solid reporting structures within SCM to secure efficient execution and transparency
• Responsible for strategic sourcing initiatives, e.g., cost out initiatives, supplier consolidation projects and other supply chain related optimization projects
• Optimization of logistics and warehouse related processes
• Development of organizational governance structures within SCM and Operations
• Responsible for SCM budget
• Selection, qualification, negotiation, contracting and integration of new suppliers

Who are you?

• Have a master’s degree in either Business, Supply Chain Management and/or Engineering
• Have min. 5 years’ similar experience, preferably from a production/technology company
• Are by nature forward-looking and results-oriented
• Are structured and systematic in your workstyle combined with good analytical skills
• Have strong negotiation skills and profound project management skills
• Possess good communication and presentation skills
• Possess business-level language skills in Danish and English
