Do you want to be part of developing next generation condition monitoring solutions and help bring down offshore wind power operational maintenance cost? For Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s Loads and Control Department we are looking for a technical project manager, who is dedicated to developing our future products and technologies in the field of Condition Monitoring Systems. You will become part of a dynamic R&D environment where we work with the latest and most advanced technologies within wind power. The Loads and Control department is responsible for design, validation and certification of wind turbine loads, control systems, control features, condition monitoring systems and sensor/servo performance.

What are my responsibilities?

• Manage and execute new product development projects from scoping/conceptualization through detailed design, validation, certification, documentation and hand-over to our market units
• Manage and execute technology development projects from idea generation until technology validation including development of design tools and test methods
• Manage the project team(s) involved, ensuring their deliveries are in sync with project plan timelines, defined milestones, and always in compliance with internal standards
• Coordinate with our key internal stakeholders in Structural Design, Blade Design, Software, Service, Product Integrity, Product Platform Management, Product Portfolio Management.
• Coordinate with our external suppliers.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have a technical engineering degree, M.Sc. in a relevant field, e.g. mechanical, aerospace, civil, applied physics, electrical.
• You have fundamental project management skills and 2+ years professional experience as a (technical) project manager.
• You have experience in developing condition monitoring solutions (vibration-/vision-/acoustic-/thermal-based or otherwise) and structural damage detection is a plus, but not a requirement
• You have experience in managing development projects with many stakeholders – both internal and external
• Experience within the within the wind industry is a plus, but not a requirement
• You are structured, development oriented, open for change, outgoing, have strong communication skills and able to navigate large and complex organizations
• You possess excellent cross-functional and interdisciplinary skills
