the job:
As a Cassandra Engineer at PSQR, you will design, build, operate, and automate the underlying platform for our traceability solutions, ensuring high performance, stability, and international scalability.

The role involves travel for on-premise system installations at customer sites worldwide.
main responsibilities:

- Translating customer requirements into architectural configurations.
- Operate the production platform, including deployment, patching, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Manage, operate, and troubleshoot RabbitMQ and manage/scale ElasticSearch clusters.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack.
- Design and implement high availability, failover, and backup/restore strategies.
- Automate infrastructure setup and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Provide Linux system administration, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
qualifications and competencies:
- Designing, scaling, tuning, and operating Cassandra clusters in high-performance environments.
- MySQL/MariaDB/other SQL technologies.
- Linux Administration: Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL.
- ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Docker, Zookeeper.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong DevOps Mindset, demonstrated by their knowledge of HA, failover, and disaster recovery strategies, and an understanding of how Java and React components interact with the platform. You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and/or Ansible, and are familiar with Kubernetes and/or Proxmox, as well as cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
With a background in SaaS environments, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and a team player.
