about the job
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in GomSpace’s projects by managing and overseeing contracts related to the development and delivery of cutting-edge satellite technology. You will manage contract conditions and follow up with clients, ensuring that terms, milestones, and potential liabilities are thoroughly handled and/or predicted throughout the project lifecycle. You will work with many points of contact as you deal with external stakeholders as well as project managers, sales directors and project delivery teams to meticulously manage contract details during negotiations and project progression.
A significant aspect of your role will be monitoring contract milestones to ensure timely completion and handling of potential amendments, if needed. In this key position, you will proactively prevent and manage any potential penalties or conflicts related to contract terms, ensuring effective management of the contractual aspects of these high-tech space products. These complex projects may span extended periods, making your ability to manage significant project scopes essential.
You key responsibilities will encompass:
• Managing, planning, and following up on major contracts
• Managing project scopes and potential changes hereof
• Identifying additional value to customers through contract changes
• Overseeing milestones and preventing penalties
• Internal collaboration, especially with project managers
• Client interactions
• Internal reports

We are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced, and commercially driven Contract Manager, who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. To succeed in this role, you should be a well-spoken, outgoing, and proactive individual who excels in a project-based setting and in having multiple points of contact.
In terms of experience and education, an educational background in contract law is beneficial but not required. More importantly, you should have years of experience in contract management within a technical and project-based setting making you familiar with the processes and workflows of such an organization. Experience with elements such as project management, sales, and/or account management would be a further advantage.
