the role

This is a unique opportunity to join a team currently focused on expanding SASHA’s protection technology from images to video and audio modalities. You will be an integral part of the R&D team, working on both greenfield development and improving existing core technologies.

As an R&D Engineer, you will formulate hypotheses, build solutions, and validate models through rigorous experimentation. While the team is currently distributed, this role is crucial in SASHA’s strategy to gather more competences in-house. The R&D team works closely with the Product team and the CTO to translate requirements into robust, scalable, and imperceptible content protection technologies, which you will be a part of.

The position is based in Odense or Copenhagen.

main responsibilities
• Tackle complex problems independently, from formulating hypotheses to building solutions, within topics such as watermarking, representation learning, adversarial robustness, explainable AI, and detection.
• Develop systems for embedding and extracting signatures into and from images, videos, and audio that are robust and feasible for production.
• Create experiments and tests to validate models, products, and performance.
• Work on state-of-the-art robustness for image/video/audio watermarking against everyday manipulations.
• Focus on latency optimization, multi-modal expansion, and application adaptability.
• Act as a communicative interface towards the rest of the organization, demonstrating products and explaining technical concepts.

qualifications and competencies
• A higher education in computer science, physics, engineering, or similar is required.
• A PhD in the domain is highly desirable; alternatively, a Master’s degree combined with 4-5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python and common data-science packages e.g. scikit-learn/image, pandas/polars, etc.; experience with Rust or C++ is considered a plus.
• Hands-on and theoretical experience with digital signal processing is also a huge plus.
• An entrepreneurial and responsible mindset with strong communication skills.
• A curious mind with a desire to learn and explore.
