the role

As a Senior Developer in SASHA’s core tech team, you take ownership of imaging and image analysis. SASHA has committed to building its technological foundation in Rust, and you will play a key role in driving their ambitious growth. You join a specialized team where your technical decisions directly ensure that SASHA can scale to handle massive global data volumes

main responsibilities:
• You build and optimize the SASHA Core Tech using Rust to maximise performance
• You dive into image data and metadata (Image I/O) to ensure seamless processing.
• You execute data optimization to prepare system performance at scale.
• You design efficient, low-latency communication between services using gRPC and Protobuf.

your profile

To succeed in this role, you likely recognize yourself in the following:
• You have at least 3 years of professional experience with Rust
• You have experience with Image I/O and image processing (formats, metadata, color profiles)
• You have worked with gRPC and Protobuf

While your primary focus is Rust and image processing, an understanding of deep learning will allow you to structure and optimize data for the underlying ML-models.
Furthermore, a solid grasp of security and encryption best practices ensures that all imagery and data passing through SASHA’s core infrastructure remain fully protected. You are a developer who proactively identifies bottlenecks before they affect production.
