about the position
As Head of Logistics in Salling Group, you will contribute to the parent department Supply Chain & Logistics as a whole and be overall responsible for the efficiency of the logistics terminal and internal logistics in some of the most prolific retail stores in Denmark. You will manage a well-functioning team of five direct reports in five locations between Aarhus and Copenhagen.
The team covers the logistical needs for Bilka, føtex, BR, and their online counterparts as well as salling.dk and a bakery. They are responsible for developing the logistics terminals, for instance by increasing efficiency through automation.
Your role in the team is to support your direct reports in their efforts to maintain and improve efficient logistics operations across the terminals, while accelerating the corporate culture journey in the terminals.
Responsibilities include:
-Understanding the current business and where it needs to be in 5-10 years
-Ensuring the continued development of efficient logistical operations
-Contributing to the development and implementation of an integrated strategy in Supply Chain & Logistics
-Active sparring with direct reports regarding implementation of efficient operational solutions

You are a seasoned leader with great logistical experience. We expect that you:
-Have strong management skills and a modern understanding of leadership
-Have a curious mind when it comes to innovative and technological solutions
-Have an ambitious and result-driven approach
-Have practical experience with complex logistical challenges
-Have extensive knowledge of modern logistical technologies and are willing to integrate AI and automation to optimize operational processes
-Have demonstrated your ability to handle complexity through your degree
